Love your barn quilts!
Where are you located in western NY? I am hoping to get to Leroy this summer to see the barn quilts in that area. Have you checked them out?

Love those barn quilts. What size are they and what type of board did you paint them on? Also what type of paint did you use? Thanks in advance for any answers.

Oh so pretty--this size would look great on a garden fence!

Thanks everyone for your nice words. They are 18 x 18, we used an exterior grade plywood, painted a base coat, drew on the quilting block and painted with exterior paints. Finished them with a piece of trim around to finish the edges. Would suggest a finish coat of poly (exterior grade ) before hanging them outside. My mom gave me an old calendar that had 352 quilt blocks in it for the year, was an excellent guide for the blocks. Really was a nice size, the girls hung them by their entry doors into their homes.

I'm addicted to Barn Quilts and especially like yours. The size is great.....could use them on a house. Were they very hard to make and what type wood did you use. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work. Just read a bit further where you gave good information. Thanks.

Kris - do you know where to look in Leroy? We often drive out that way. Son goes to RIT. BIG quilt show on the campus over Memorial Day weekend I think.
