Default Ruler work

I went to a retreat a few weeks ago. I took my Juki 2010Q to practice some ruler work. I ended up giving a demo to some of the other ladies, some of whom didn't even know what ruler work was. Then I practiced some of things I've seen in videos. After using the ruler, one often does FMQ inside those lines. The wishbones [yellow arrow] turned out much better than I thought but the string of pearls [red arrow] need much, much more practice I've now acquired quite the collection of rulers. Practicing on a blank square is much easier than deciding what to do in the spaces on an actual quilt LOL. A friend and I are taking a class on Friday; maybe I'll get some more clues there.

Very interesting. I will be following this thread. I'm assuming this is on your domestic machine?

I see you are from Michigan (as am I). Did you take your class in Michigan? I'm looking for a class to take.

Nan, I have the same machine (love it) and have been playing around with rulers. I bought Angela Walters sets and I'm finding I really enjoy it.
Your stitching looks great!

Looking good! I save my fancy ruler work for open spaces on my quilts.
