My latest -- a king bed quilt made from swaps on MadeinMaine's 12-1/2" Block of the Month swap, and from 2 sets sent to Dagny's January 2011 batik block swap (send 12 of the same 12-1/2" blocks, get one of your own plus 11 others in return). The quilt is 9 blocks wide by 7 rows long.

I wanted to try and do the quilt-as-you-go method using strips instead of blocks, and it really worked out well. Was a bit heavy by the time I was putting on the last three rows, but all in all, I am please with the results, and will definately do it again. Backing got a bit wrinkled in a couple spots -- I call it my learning curve! Or should I say learning wrinkle.

Very nice, bright and cheery! I just touched my blocks from one of the Batik swaps this morning wondering what and when am I going to put them together! After seeing your quilt I'm ready to start mine. Thanks for sharing.

If you don't have enough blocks to make a quilt, join MadeinMaine's block of the month swap and make your theme BATIKS - I also did extra swaps, and ended up getting about 30 batik blocks in 4 months.

That's very pretty. Now you just need pillow cases to match. :)

Judy,
I love your quilt, front and back. Bright colors make me happy.
