Here are pics of my quilt. I started this Stack and Whack for my Mom in 2000 and I lost her in 2001. I really didn't have the heart to finish it until a wonderful woman I met at work told me that she quilted. I told her about my quilt and showed it to her. At that time I was planning my wedding and she offered to quilt it for a wedding present. I was amazed that someone that barely knew me would offer something like that. She talked about a name for it and I had no idea that people named their quilts, so we came up with "Bed of Roses for Mom" in Honor of my Mom. She stitched and embroidered a lable with the name ,dates pieced and quilted. I am ever so grateful to her. She is a wonderful person and hopefully a new friend.

A wonderful tribute to your mom. I lost my Mom about 7 years ago, so I totally understand. You will also find that quilters are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.
I also love your quilt. You did an awesome job!

That's very beautiful! What a wonderful way to remember your mom, and start a new friendship. Congratulations on your wedding.
