Default Bedskirt, pillow shams and the star quilt

I know many of you have seen the quilt, so I'll skip to much of it, but the king sized pillow shams with cute little ruffles and the bedskirt with more cute little ruffles and the quilt went in the mail today and I am so happy! I am not one of those girly girl people, ruffles are not exactly hard, but they are a bit of a pain. It always amazes me that just because we quilt, others think we know how to sew like a seamstress. Some of you may but not me.

Good job on the entire ensemble (sp?). I really love your choice of colors.

you did a fabulous job. i know what you mean on ruffles. however, i found a new way of doing the ruffles and it has made them less of a pain.... you draw out enough thread from top and bobbin thread, then zigzag over it. when you reach the end, you just draw up the thread and it makes it much easier. not such a chore anymore. (clear as mud?)

I will remember this for the future, especially since I did it the hard way first! Thanks!
