Default Big Star Quilt

I saw a quilt made with this pattern on the board over a year ago. I buy these large scale prints then I don't know what to do with them. I had a couple of pieces of fabric I didn't really care for, then I found a striped sheet with the same colors and thought that I would make a sample to try out the pattern. My sister saw it and loved it, so I quilted it up and will give it to her for Christmas. It's all HST (I matched the stripe, it's not a flying goose!) and they are 12" finished, so it goes together really, really quickly. The other picture is the quilting detail. Still learning on my LA.

You did awonderful job of matching those stripes. like it a lot.
There is a pattern called elegant lone star. You use large scale prints and stack the fabric in eight layers. then cut the whole big diamond from the stack. Those make wonder Kaleiedoscope stars and so muc easier that all those little diamonds I used to use.

I love it. Wish you would post a picture of the quilt not folded so we can see your quilting. Your quilting looks really nice.

I love this star. I'm in a row by row starting January and I think I'd like to do this one. And I need it to be this exact size. Can you tell me the name of this star or any information about this pattern? Thanks.
