A few months ago, I asked a question regarding marking quilts. I had used a pencil to mark, and then changed my mind. After much help and advice from many of you, I decided to finish my wallhanging. I call it "Learning Lessons", because I learned to never mark my quilt til I'm sure of the design, and never use a pencil except to write notes to myself. Anyway, here's the finished product, it will hang in my sewing room to remind me of lessons learned.

don't see no runaway pencil lines. don't see no overdone quilting. don't see nuthin' 'cept one good lookin' quilt.

i believe that entitles a whole bunch of us to say - TOLD YOU SO!!!

we knew from the start it was going to end up wonderfully. so, picture us sipping our smug mugs of coffee and giggling.

Hi: Great job! Noticed your remark regarding using pencils for marking. I found pencil lead that can be used in any standard .5mm mechanical pencil called Ultimate Marking Pencil for Quilters & Crafters. This is supposed to never smear, fit stencil openings and it washes out. Unfortunately, I can't remember where I bought it and the packet doesn't give any info about the manufacturer. Can't wait to try it out

Nice!

It is a bit hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like you hand quilted it. I always use the air soluble marking pens when I an hand quilting, They work well for me.
