I am having a problem with two pieces. The Blue/green print that is between the nest branch and the birdhouse; and the blue strip down the side of the bouquet block at bottom right. I am thinking of taking them out and replacing them with the tan print. What do you think?

I like the blue-green myself. I'm not partial to brown except as an accent. But in the end, you are the only one who has to be pleased with it, and everyone's taste is different. It looks great, BTW!! Good job!

The tan floral does help define the other blocks better. This is going to be one lovely quilt!!

Both are nice, but I think the blue-green makes it softer and more spring like.

I vote for the blue! I think the tan is distracting from the applique blocks

That is going to be beautiful either way!
I think I would like the tan by the nest block and the blue by the bouquet. (Of course I have to be different!)
but no matter what you do with it; it is gorgeous!!!
It has to "speak" to YOU!

I like the blue.. maybe you can pull the color out in the outer borders or something.. it will be very pretty when done.

I like either one of the areas you're concerned about but would prefer the blue-greens if it was mine. The area that shouts out at me as being out of place is the strip below the the upper strip of eggs. To me both versions are to dark and grab the eye -distracts. But that's my opinion.

I like the tan. More appealling to my eye. I like the warmth it gives

I think the tan make you have a more even flow. Top, middle and bottom. I love the blue and would use that in other areas. But, I try to make sure things are not one sided.

When there is a small amount of a color, it is an accent, the more of that color you add, it becomes part of the background. So if you like the blue fabric, add more. If you can't add more and it sticks out like a sore thumb, remove it. Actually don't look at the quilt itself, look at a photo and it will give you a better idea.

Oh yesw, I definitively like the 2nd version better, makes the block jump out more.
But it's a gorgeous quilt whatever you decide.
