Love your quilt. It is a fun one to make, isn't it. Very satisfying when you're finished.
When I asked Chloe at "ToadUSew" how she quilted her quilts she said that her first one was quilted around each of the logs. Her other "Thinking Outside the Box" quilts she said she experimented with other quilting ideas.
As you know from my post I quilted diagonals and skipped over the colored blocks because I didn't want my black quilting thread showing up in them.
I really don't think you can do anything wrong when it comes to quilting this quilt. The pattern is strong enough to shine through the quilting.
Main thing - have fun!
Looking great already.

Yvonne thank you!!I was hoping you saw it because the one you made for your grandson gave me the inspiration to make mine. You have to tell Chloe about it although she may already know. Maybe another blip in orders fot kits haha. I still have a bit of time to think about the quilting although there have been some good ideas from everyone! Hopefully I will have finalized the design when I get back from Atlanta...quilters. Do give this a try. It is pretty easy and fun to make!!!

I'd have to see this one in person to believe it's a flat quilt; those five layers rising up into the air are like nothing I've ever seen.

No advice on how to quilt it, but in this case I'd bypass the squares/circle "rule". IMO circles would take away from that floating image.

Please let us know if you win (even better, when you win). This deserves an award.

Awesome 3D look!!! I like it a lot. I do like the idea of starting with a small circle in the middle and working out getting bigger and bigger. That would intensify the 3D look, I think.

Can't wait to see what you do!!!
