Wow! did you have templates in all those sizes? That looks really hard and like every piece was a different size and shape. You are a wizard!

I think I'll kind of continue the waving triangle theme out into the border with the quilting. I certainly won't do something unsympathetic like an all over meander! I always try to enhance the top with the quilting as I view it as an inherent part of the overall design. I generally plan the quilting while piecing or even in the design stage but in this case, I was so involved with the technique and getting the colour graduation right, I didn't do that. :-D

This is my own original design based on the technique by Margaret Miller in her book Block Bender Quilts. I think the book is out of print but I got mine used from Amazon. It's by no means a quick thing to make though. After designing my grid and drafting my layou, I then had to draft and cut my templates from plastic then each patch had to be individually cut. I loved it though and can't wait to do another - I have multiple designs laying around the place on graph paper..

I'm looking forward to seeing yours. Are you working on the one you told me about already or drawing up another one?

This design 'only' took 7 individual templates. Actually it's surprising how few you need as the illusion created is of many different sized pieces. :-D

PS Thought you might like to see all the fabrics that went into this as well - it was a great excuse to colour sort all my scraps!
