I would put a white framing around what you have now. That would make the blue prints look like they are floating. Then bind it in blue. If you put a blue border without the white first, the pattern will look like it blends into the border.. That is unless that is the effect you are looking for.

dude I would totally use red for the binding. I'm not kidding-- there are no rules in quilting.

With that much white in the quilt top, you better be sure that a dark backing doesn't show through.

Definitely blue for the binding and preferably the same that is in the quilt.

It is beautiful. You must really like your boss.

God bless you for your giving heart.

What wonderful work! I agree with Chele, the use of a small bit of a contrasting color would really pop the quilt. You pattern is a strong one the visually pushes the eye to the borders…fantastic.!!!! I would use your dark blue as a border and add a small red piping between the quilt body and the border to direct the eye back to the center...the strength of the body can handle a pop! Maybe a special quilting pattern or (documentation) dedication, or your bosses favorite saying quilted in red in the center.
I can’t wait to see it finished! Crow Onnnnn!

Lovely quilt! Your boss is going to love it. If I were you, I would use the blue print for the binding. It would bring it together nicely.

I think if you like the size that is all that matters. Just add the blue binding. It is absolutely beautiful just as it is.
