ladies and gents, bob the builder is finished!
it ended up being smaller than i was expecting... or maybe i wasn't really paying attention at how small it was... oops

the blue of the background is darker. the blue is more accurate as the edge/binding on the front of the quilt.

the accident of cutting the backing fabric ended up being a good thing. i was able to attempt a two-color binding.

tomorrow, i'll wash it to make sure there's nothing that will come apart and then it's off to oklahoma to say hello to Asher!

ps. the best part is that my 19-year old son loves it and said he can't wait for me to make him his quilt.

very cute quilt. You could have put extra borders on it to male it bigger, but it is darling as it is. You done good girl.

You got the approval from the dog so that is what counts. Is it funny how our pets make a beeline to a new quilt to test out for comfort??

this is the tutorial i used:

it was very easy to follow.
it felt like magic when i turned the binding over and it tah-dah! i had two-sided color binding
