here are some of the coin purses I have made over the last year
They measure about 4 1/2" - 5"

How do you keep the curved pieces so perfect when working on such a small scale?

The curve is an optical illusion. The block is made by sewing two swatches and cutting a 30?degree angle ( I forget which angle) and then sew another set the same way. then you sew both sections together

Then you make the blocks and sew blocks together just like any other quilt block.

Here are pictures to illustrate. I can't post the whole directions because I am doing this one for QuiltCampus and because of copyright laws I can't put the lesson online anywhere else.

Beautiful work. I never would have thought of coin purses but they are perfect. Great job.
