Yep--5th grade, butterflywing. There are 24 of them this year. They'll get two books along with them. I made observations and questioned them the first weeks of school to discover their likes in the animal/sports areas. They came up with stuff I didn't think came on fabric--but a few ladies on the board lent me a hand--or a square and a strip--and wah lah-the bookmarks were born. They will be very surprised to see the stuff on those bookmarks. Hee hee. :-D

I'm collecting possibilities for years to come when I see something cool on fabric now, especially in sports. Just a 1/4 of a yard goes a long way for these.

I've been home sick for two days--so I was able to sit on the couch to finish getting the beads on today.

I apologize to admin about the size of the photos. I double checked them on photobucket and they were 600 pixels--but somehow posted bigger. :|

Great job, Karla!!
I'll be sending a package out on Monday/Tuesday. Nothing great for the students, just some cookies. :)

I love these. Is this a pattern you designed yourself? I would love to find a bookmark pattern! Wonderful job and a lovely gift for sure.
hugs
