    Cool Bound in Blue

I finally got my ax quilt bound and put away. I used blue to bind it with. I like the way it draws out the blue from the other fabics. What do you think?

Good choice for the binding. It frames the quilt nicely. What size are your axes and what did you use for a template? I would like to make one in the future to destash my scrap bins (yes, bins).

I like the ax head or apple core pattern so much, but have not made one because I know it is very time consuming - but one of these days I will do one and I hope it turns out as wonderful as yours. It is so homey and comfortable looking - I just want to crawl under it and sigh away the days aches and pains...LOL.
