My best friend found out her mom has breast cancer. Since she was there for me with mine, I wanted to do something for her, so I made her and her mom matching lap quilts.

I did machine quilting with fancy stiches

Those are beautiful. I am so sorry to hear that she has cancer. The quilts will be wonderful for them to hug and hold onto. What a wonderful move!

Beautiful....hope her Mother responds well to treatment. Two good friends of mine are both breast cancer survivors, as is my former husband. The treatments today offer far more positive outcomes, so don't lose hope.

You have no idea how much a quilt like that means to you until you're the recipient of one (I was last week, just diagnosed). It's a wonderful feeling to know that someone cares enough to take the time and love to do that.

Hope she has a full recovery!
