Gorgeous! What are the size of your squares and is this a pattern?

These are lovely. This is a pattern that I've wanted to do for a long time. Now you've sold me on a scrappy version.

I used the book called "Burgoyne Surround by Elizabeth Hamby Carlson the pattern is Fat Quarter Fancy. One quilt is 6 x6 - 15 inch blocks and the other is 5x5 - 15 inch blocks. It is made with strip sets using 1.5 and 2.5 strips and background rectangles. If you are going to make this make sure you have LOTS of background fabric (I only used one fabric for background) - I used nearly 2 bolts on the two quilts and was lucky that Hancock Fabrics had another bolt in their warehouse - kudos to them. One quilt is a very generous queen and the other is as big as the king size quilt batting. Have fun if you go for it, and I just remembered there is an error on page 46 the last row of the quilt they have used 9 patches all across the bottom and it should be like the sides and top with the edge being solid.

Gorgeous! Love them both and am touched by the thought you put into them. Makes them very personal, great job.
