My S.O.'s mother (who lives in Portland, OR) was told this quilt came over on the Oregon Trail. I think it is closer to the Depression era myself, but I am not an expert.

This quilttop was stored in her dresser for many years until she asked me to finish it - I backed it in a coordinating fabric from JoAnn's (not a vintage repro which I probably should've) but at least now she can get some good out of it now and it can be used and enjoyed.

Any ideas on what the pattern name could be?

It looks like the fabric could well be 19th century. During the civil war, there were lots of shirting fabrics, small dots and blues, so it's possible. It's just in 2 fabrics? A local museum or textile museum might be able to help you there.

Hard to see but the background is tiny black stars - there
are some definite stains I presume from being stored for many years?
