Yes, I used batting as the flannel was more on the thin side.

LOL ~ this was one of those "happy accidents". The blocks were pieced from scraps I had in my stash & there was not enough of any of the blues to make all of the blocks so I had to find a way to make it all flow.

I love your idea of camping quilts. Both are very nicely done! I like that you changed the position on the sun, and even made a moon, in the quilt with the tent. Thanks for sharing.

I thougt the same thing when I saw it. Those happy faces are what it's all about! Thanks for the pattern link - I really like that one and saved it to pdf for future reference.

Speaking as a life long camper -Your quilts are great!!!!!!!!! And the one you paper pieced your grandson is just great! Both young people look really happy with their wonderful quilts!!! (and that zigzag fabric you used is perfect for a young man's camping quilt) Great job Grandma!

Oh I am dying...you let them camp with them?? All that work for camping in the dirt?? Maybe I'm too much of a neat freak.

Glad you are letting them enjoy them and do what they want with them!! You're a good grandma!
