This was a fun project, Heather of Superior Threads asked me to quilt some silk for a jacket she is going to have made for her. I was a little nervous, but she told me to quilt it however I wanted, so that made the decision really easy for me. Plus she gives me awesome thread to try out, this time it was metallic thread. The thread is amazing, it highlights the shine of the fabric.

If you are wondering, this quilting was all free-hand motion on my A-1 long-arm.

I'm not sure what the name of the thread was, sorry. It was from Superior Threads. I just used what she gave me.

GF,

Just when I thought it wasn't possible for your LA'ing to get any more beautiful you prove me wrong AGAIN!!

How long have you been long arming and how many hours of practice do you put in to get as good at LA machine quilting? I know this sort of thing does take a certain degree of raw talent, which you obviously have, but maybe there is hope for someone like me to get this good with practice? Once I get my LA machine that is.
