Your quilt, your way. I kinda think the first may be a bit too busy for my taste and, of course, would show offf the quilting nicely. Eithe way would b vey nice, however.

Beautiful, I like pic #1 and I am assuming #3 is your quilting plan, which sets it off beautifully! Great job planning it all out. Lucky kids.

here is another possibility........second design w/alternate blank blocks......use beige for sashing of all, use solid blue as alternates in center and green as setting triangles on ends, but I would add a border just to confine the design, not large, but of same color as setting triangles and after all the work of piecing and quilting the body, having to flip to do the opposite borders is "easy"........JMHO
