Yes! I have wanted to make a Carpenter's Star but I don't care for a square quilt. I had considered making one and using borders or something to extend the length. Your design is perfect. And I love the color combination. Mom is lovely and seems so pleased and proud.

I used a pic of the carpenter star & 1 ring, then just had to figure for 2 more rings but leave off the sides, but when I make another carpenter star I am doing a queen or king like most of my other quilts. Then I will make complete circles. I use pics most of the time when I use a new pattern., Thanks for looking

Love your color choice. The Carpenter's Star is on my Bucket List. I've been hesitating because I couldn't decide on a color, but I like the two-tone result of yours. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing.
