    Default Carpenter Star

Here is a Carpenter Star I've been working on. I used the pattern from MaryQuilts.com. I have the top and bottom pieces done too, but need border fabric before I can put them on. Which color should I use for the borders? The orange/yellow or teal? I enjoyed working on this one, it's my first. I only had to frog stitch on one 1/4 row. I won't be making the top and bottom rows next time (see the 2nd picture). It took me as long as the whole rest of the quilt.

The red one isn't mine. It's from MaryQuilts.com

I would use teal for the borders on the first one. I really love the red one since red is my favorithe color. The border just sets it off. It doesn't look like it would be too hard. Probably getting the measurements just right would be the worst part for me. I think I could do it. Both are very pretty.

I vote for the teal for border. Very pretty! Want to try this one soon!
