Oh is that pretty. My favorite part is the two reds used next to each other.

Hi Mauritiuss4: Look back at the previous page - QM gives a great breakdown for sizes. Here is a link to a tutorial from our board from Stitchinbee to show you how to put it together. Please post a picture when you are done!!

I love your quilt to ... bet He loved it a lot. How thoughtful of you. Wish I could make quilts tha pretty. Wish I lived near enough for us to visit. Someday we might move down near Yuba City, or Tehachapi...but not til the economy improves so we can sell our hourse.

DH and I have decided that except for really special commissions, all the quilts I make from here on are to benefit family, friends and those with special needs....with an occassional raffle quilt for local charities. Previously I did 2-3 auction quilts a year and put several up for sale at 2 quilt shows to help pay for my quilting supplies. I find that only making quilts for those who will really enjoy them makes it easier to put the work into them. DH really enjoyed. for example, being able to hand a quilt to a young woman who had been horribly injured by a drunk driver and others to friends newly diagnosed with cancer. Doing this makes both of us feel good.

I am very aware that men, even more than women, often give up after strokes. When I saw him recently, he was walking etc quite well (Unlike my DH who had a major stroke about the same time), but my friend appeared to have aged about 15 years. I do hope my gift helps in some way.
