Default Carpenters Wheel - not quite

This isn't quite the normal Carpenters Wheel - I sketched it quickly from a quilt I saw at the nursing home. Once I had it done and started checking out the carpenters wheel quilts I see it's similar, but not quite the same. I did the quilting on my Viking Designer SE, using a pattern from a pattern pack called Twice Quilted by Glorianne Cubbage -

No, not quiet the carpenter's wheel , but it's very pretty and looks like it would be a lot easier to piece. Nice job quilting too.

Did you draw the design on, trace or just quilt it by looking at it? I'm learning FMQ and woul love to be able to do as well as you did on yours. great job!

I used one of those markers that dissappears with water - I've done this design a couple times using the markers, and once with no markings - just freemotion, and it turned out just fine - every quilt is a learning experience!
