Default Catawompus - My design challenge quilt

Remember that challenge where each person takes a yard of fabric, rips it in half, passes half and it goes on and on until tiny bits? I challenged my Bee this year and this is what I came up with. We could add anything and make anything. I kept cutting the fabric into tiny bits and added way too much fabric. The embroidery design came from the Claire's cats applique book, I just embroidered the designs in pearl cotton.

It's adorable and I haven't heard that word "catawompus" in a long time. Great quilt name.

I love this! And how clever to use the applique pattern for embroidery! It reminds me of the old fashioned redwork designs only in one of my most favorite subjects. I love the name too.

Great job! It will be fun to see what others in your quilt Bee create. It's a great challenge and am thinking of using it for our next challenge in my guild.

I wish I had taken a photo of everyone's creations. There were tote bags, lots of yo you creations, one person made several different items. There were no rules, the only thing you had to do was use almost all of the fabric given to you.
