Beautiful colors, and like others have said an ambitious first project. This is also on my bucket list.

I am putting a Cathaderal quilt for my granddaughter. I have been using random colors but after I bought several patterns, I felt I needed a few more. I went digging in my stash and found some special material that I had use mading clothes for her daddy when he was a baby. So now the quilt has special memories sewed in. I am not as far along as you. I am working in sections so I can carry it with me on all trips in the car so I get lots done on the road. will have pictures at sometime. I do not find it a hard pattern to do, just time consuming but then again hand-quilting is time consuming. It will get done---one stitch at a time.

Cathedral windows...Wow that a tough one to start with, I'm still too intimidated to give it a try. Keep at and show us the finished product.

Very pretty, I haven't worked on mine in so long, maybe someday soon.

Great job. We did a king size that only took 20 years! Know you will be much faster! They do get heavy though.

some of us are just crazy I guess, Cathedral window was how I started too. It is still not done, lots of projects in-between but get it out when I feel like hand sewing. Yours is beautiful. Lots of memories in mine as every time I use cotton fabric for another project I cut a window for the quilt. Some day it will be on the bed. Kind of glad I'm not the only one taking so long to complete it.

that was my first quilt too. King size, all hand sewn.....every inch of it. It took me three years to finish it. That is why it has taken me 26 years to start thinking of making quilts again. LOL
