I thought it was a dress, too! And I even have a quilt hanger like that! This quilt is beautiful... even more so because of its back story. I, too, remember my Grandmother sitting in "her chair" & working on either quilts (all of which were stolen from me) or dolly clothes (which I still have & treasure). You're so lucky to have this treasure to look at every day! Thank you for sharing it & its journey with us!

I KNOW I would NEVER have even half the patience! And that makes me love & respect these even more!

What a beautiful treasure you have from your grandmother. You can see all the love that went into all that beautiful handwork. I love the way you have it displayed.

Love it. My aunt just brought me the start of two cathedral window quilts--hers and my grandmothers--along with 200 foundation squares for me to complete! The date on the box is 1979. I've been working on them. LOL

What a unique way to display a quilt! It is absolutely beautiful and how nice to have it displayed so that you will think of your grandmother often.
