Such a beautiful quilt and just gorgeous quilting. I rather like seeing the pineapple blocks on their own, allows you to appreciate the gradient of colors you used and your workmanship.
I've pieced similar bindings before, do you press your seams open or flat? I go open and sometimes when/if I piece a binding (or when I make my french binding), depending on the fabric I'll use a .5" seam, just like when you piece a back, but I typically use thicker bindings than most people and cut them starting at 3".

I was very surprised that the colors did not run at all! I used a color catcher, of course, but they did not show any staining. I bought them all from Connecting Threads.

Cut strips of whatever colors you want and strips of background whatever width you like. Sew them together alternating color/white then press seams and cut strips from this as wide as your original strips (if you want them square). then sew these strips together end to end so you have a long strip of color/white, then sew your background strips to each side of this. I took a photo of this process but can't figure out how to post a photo in a reply!
