BEST has different definitions according to the circumstances. So this IS indeed a BEST quilt!!

I loved it when you shared it in the concept stage ... and love it all the more now that it's in reality. And your are a BEST friend to have done this for her, and I'm sure it'll help her make it thru the rougher steps of her journey.

Now ... all there is to wonder ... what are you going to do for an encore?

The quilt is awesome! Very touching story and such a sweet thing to do for a friend. Wishing her well again and sending prayers!
Being skinny isn't easy, so I gave up and opted for being sexy instead. (aunty acid)

You are a blessing to your friend. A bible verse came to mind..."a merry heart does good like medicine". You are giving her a good dose of medicine with your joyful and fun creation.

Thanks QuiltE ... yes, it certainly was the "best" thing that I could do for her given the distance (Chicago to Los Angeles!).

Our friendship is bound by our love for the same breed of dog. After knowing each other for many years, and working together on Dog Club stuff, she now has a female from one of my litters and we co-bred her and kept two puppies which we co-own together. One of my proudest moments was the two of us handling the mother and one of the daughters at the big Eukanuba show last year - the puppy we bred together won Best Opposite Sex.

She calls me her "Sista from another Litta"
May your stitches always be straight, your seams always lie flat, and your grain never be biased against you.

What a great friend you are to make her a quilt that suits her personality. I'm sure she'll love it. They say humor is the best medicine and you're giving her a good dose of it! Thanks for sharing.

You are sew sweet to make this for your friend! If you don't laugh, you will cry, and that just messes up your make up!!
    Marie

You don't stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop laughing.

What a fun loving quilt at a time when Maria will need the laughs from the quilt. A truly unique gift for a friend, and what a very thoughtful person you are for making it for her.

You are truly a special friend. I don't think your quilt is quirkey, I think it's awesome and fun. Will make her smile for sure!
