Over Christmas I posted the Cheshire cat. These two pictures are what I was working on. The first is while I was waiting for more fabric from Burkholder's in Penn (great service to Canada)and the second is the finished top. Haven't got a clue where I 'm going to put this after the stonework is quilted in; its going to finish Kingsize. I'm thinking it will take abouta month. In the meantime I dream about it.

    Unfinhished and waiting for fabric

Blame my husband AGAIN. He challenges me to do these things. We have a stairwell where I hang some of my quilts and he often said that the french braid I have hanging there glows like stained galss. After we had been to Europe and saw the windows there, he started talking about a cathedral window. I quickly discovered he didn't mean that quilt pattern. So I found this one on the internet from the Milan cathedral and decided to try that one. It took about a month to redraw it and draft. I blame the size on the fact the smallest circle is the same size as my smallest pot lid. Sigh. Had I know it would grow like Topsy.
So I've been mulling this over and actually started mid Sept and I expect it will take at least a month on my long arm to quilt it, I work part time.
Wish me luck. Its gone from nightmare to delight many, many times. Our guild show isn't until next. It may be done by then.

Amazing piece of Art with a capital A! Stepped back from the screen and it just glows. BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for sharing

Then you know the motifs should be tighter and more compact. But these things happen. Art does have a mind of its own. Thanks for your comments.
