A little background about the chicken quilt. In May 2000 (yes, 2000, not a typo) I went to the quilt show in Lancaster PA with 2 quilt friends. We were inspired by a chicken quilt we saw there and began to collect chicken fabric, chicken patterns, and chicken buttons. (Eventually this obsession even spilled over to our kitchens and has almost gotten out of hand!!) Every time we made a block, we made 3 of them and shared with each other. My friends finished their quilts several years ago and have entered them in quilt shows and won ribbons. I just got mine back from the quilter's last Monday so I spent this week attaching binding, a sleeve, label and buttons. I finished this afternoon and wanted to share with you all. It took 8 years, but I am FINALLY done. :D
