Child’s quilt
Hi Quilters! I made this 42x53 quilt by making the churn dash and then putting a border on top and bottom to make it longer and not square. It was lying flat and squared up. I used Hi-Loft batting and quilted in the ditch with a walking foot, so it would puff. However, I do not like how my pink sashing looks so twisted. It will go to CASA unless my girls need it for a gift.
I had to resize the pictures and now they uploaded sideways- the borders are top & bottom, not on sides.

first of all, super cute quilt. I love the light pink with the black and white. sophisticated, yet soft.
second. you could check the amount of pressure your foot in putting on the fabric. most machines have a little adjustment. my thought is that if the batting was real thick, the foot may have had too much pressure and was "dragging" the fabric a bit instead of feeding it through smoothly.
