Default Wedding quilt for my daughter.....

It's been a long time since I posted anything.....but I have been busy. Both my oldest dd's are/have gotten married this summer. One eloped and one is getting married in August. This is her quilt. I told the dd that eloped that they'd get a quilt as a 1st anniversary present!

I hand quilted different ocean motifs on this one and dune grasses and waves on the borders. There is some sid along the borders that was done on my Davis NVF too. In all I've got 7 months in this quilt. I'm still working on the grass but should be done this month.

Well, please send my congratulations to both of the happy couples! Wow! Two in one summer! Wonder if they'll do other things in pairs too! Just in case, when do you plan on starting baby quilts!!???

That is a pretty, but still can pass for manly quilt. What size are the individual blocks? It looks like it can fit a king bed. Nice work!

I always look at the pictures before I read the post. And my first though on this quilt is that it reminded me of the ocean. Then I read that you quilted it with ocean motifs. It's gorgeous!! I'm sure your DD will love it. If not, feel free to send it to me. I assure you I will treasure it

it's king size and the blocks finish at 8". They are getting married on the beach and when I asked her what kind of quilt she wanted she said something that made her think of the ocean. I had seen this pattern in a magazine and knew it would be perfect in "ocean" colors. And thank you all!
