Christmas Quilt WIP for next year!

I have been promising myself a Christmas Quilt for years now. I found a pattern I loved and bought the fabrics (Red Rooster Winterberry Lane) but I was so busy with other projects for gifts I ran out of time. Come New Year I resolved to do my own quilt before embarking on anyone else's gifts or requests. By golly I've done it, the top at least. I did run out of the printed border fabric so I have had to improvise a little as you will see. the pattern is from a Fons and Porter Love of Quilting mag. I fell in love with it.

Beautiful quilt. I'm so glad you got something made for yourself. The border looks great. I think it looks better than it would have if you had had enough fabric to go all the way around. Merry Christmas 2012.

The border looks like it was part of the original plan. Way to go! The fabric choice is beautiful.

Love it! I have made myself a Christmas quilt each year for the last two. (I've only been quilting for 3 1/2 years.) I think I will continue doing that. I love Christmasy things.
