the top of the second one has already gone together in half the time. No upside down Santas this time. And no pairs stitched where I didn't have the right one first. Ended up the last row had a gap I had to take a pair apart to fix. Have the top and backing pinned and ... right sides are TOGETHER --- already an improvement! ANd ... doing with no batting so that will be faster too. I prefer the batting, but .. trying it this way.

Okay - second one finished in under two hours. Love it! Now the problem begins. I have misc. fat quarters that are Christmasy and some abondoned rail blocks that are Moda fruitcake. I've begun pulling those out and seeing what I have for backing to make more ... table runners! And I'm beginning to think of people I didn't really intend to give a gift to, but it would be nice ... surely they'd love a little table runner? AND our Walmart has fabric and is open 24 hours. Perhaps I could talk someone into cutting just a wee bit of fabric? Perhaps??? When will the madness end?????????
