I love CW fabric and scrappy for sure. Your quilt will be treasured by your grandson. Just beautiful!

Wow! Please post again when you've quilted it. The piecing looks perfect!

Great quilt. Love the colors and pattern. Your grandson and his wife will love it. Hope you have enough fabric for the backing if you decide to enlarge it. I have a question. Did you square it up before you joined the blocks or did you match and pin the points, sew it, and then cut off the extra?

What an iconic and stunning quilt. I, too, love CV fabrics and you used such a beautiful variety of prints to make your eye flow across the quilt. Your piecing is perfect too.

I squared up each block before sewing into rows. I ordered plenty of backing for back of shams, quilt back and little squares for blocks. Thank you and everyone else for yours and their nice comments.

I am glad for your approval. I think I was holding my breath waiting for you to see-
a friend of mine, here at home, wanted me to tell her what you thought about the finished top. If you liked it you may have regrets offering the scraps or on the other hand you may be glad to see someone really used them.
Thank you so much for the wedding gift!
