How clever! I have been asked to make a quilt to auction off at my 50th yr. reunion - don't need it until 2014 but have been wracking my brain to come up with a design. School colors are Orange/Black and class colors are Green/white - trying to put the colors together tastefully. This gives me some ideas, thanks for sharing! I am thinking of making a signature quilt and getting everyone who attends to sign it before we auction it off.

The signature quilt is a good idea. There was just a very small one at our reunion and it brought lively bidding at the auction. Mine, on the other hand, had the bidding cut off after 2 bids!! It went for $200.00 so it is fortunate that I had a ball designing and making it 'cause the work and investment sure wasn't worth what it sold for.
Anyway the guy who got it loves it and will take care of it.
