Hey K..she looks like a chuck with attitude!! Is she keeping her beady eye on the brood??? :D Great needle turning going on there :D :D :D

Thanks Izy - you spotted that! That's why I didn't finish yesterday evening. A lady at quilt group showed me how to baste the patch to the freezer paper then baste the whole thing to the background - takes longer but lays flatter without pins, while you sew it down! :D

I've just seen a cute pattern in a book of chicks popping their heads out of broken eggs - thing I'll do that next!

When I use freezer paper I use the clover mini iron and turn the seam allowance onto the stickyside of the paper, then just use 1 or 2 pins to hold then stitch down, I cut the background fabric away to reduce the bulk then :D

I like the sound of your next block K :lol:

You girls are killing me ! I want to make a chicken, but promised myself I would finish what I am working on. Too many WIPs in my room LOL Someday I will have to go ahead and make one. Have a 3ft pieced scarecrow just crying out for chicks and barns!
