Really pretty quilt and beautiful work. How nice that your quilts are a "family affair".

That is the nices't coin quilt that I have seen. What pattern did you use? It looks like the coins are floating.

How do you get it to look like the coins are floating?

I didn't use a pattern, just made it up. I was cutting up left over fabrics and decide that I would do a quilt like this so figured out how many coins and spacers I needed to make the size I wanted. I had the idea to start the center column with the coin at the very top and end it about a foot from the end of the mattress, then finish that column with the background fabric. Then each column I dropped the coin down some more and used the background fabric at the top and bottom and so on across the quilt. That pattern doesn't show up as much as I wanted it to.
I think I use doin size of 3 1/4 by 5 1/4, spacers were 2 1/4 by 5 1/4 and the background between the pieced columns were 5/1/4, the length of the quilt. You could use any measurement you would want though.
