My first quilt came about because I wanted to paint these Christmas santas on fabric for a Chrissy wall hanging and had to sew something around the painting to frame it. I quilted it by hand - not very well. Haven't stopped quilting since.

I like to try different things with my quilts and have used the photo printing sheets for my daughter's wedding memories quilt. I also used fabric from her wedding dress (I bonded the satin), beads from her hairpiece and copied their wedding invitation. My husband cross-stitched the floral heart in the centre.

Painted santas with patchwork borders.

They're absolutely stunning, what an awesome job! What did you use to paint the fabric with?

I just use artists acrylic (Jo Sonja's brand) available everywhere, mixed with a liquid fabric medium and paint away.

Wow.... I just absolutely love the wedding one, it's gorgeous.

I can't even draw stick figures, I'd be hopeless at painting.

I love your creative mind. It makes the process much more fun, don't you think?

They are both wonderful wall hangings. Very neat!
