Default Completion of Hungry Caterpillar Quilt

After working hard for 2 years, I've finally completed the Hungry Caterpillar quilt! This quilt is specially dedicated to my daughter Eponine as a special heirloom to remember her childhood days, for she loves the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. It's a single bed quilt which finishes at 64″ x 92″, my biggest project so far! It seems impossible to even complete this as it's so huge. I'm glad that I managed to do FMQ on my home machine without having to send it to a longarmer!

I'm happy to admit that my FMQ has improved tremendously after completing this. It just goes to show that with practice and perseverance, everything is possible!

Beautiful quilt for a beautiful girl. What a wonderful way for her to remember her favorite story. I love the quilting too. I would do an Owl and the Pussycat one for my daughter, if I was a nice mother!

Very nice!!! My friend made one and cut a circle hole in the quilt as if the caterpillar ate through it. Omg, it was so cute. I bet stitching the binding on that hole was a job in itself too.
