He will get years of use out this quilt, and memories to go with it.

I was definately supposed to see this quilt! Yesterday afternoon my DD was in her room doing schoolwork (been home for a week because of the blizzard), and all of a sudden she comes into the kitchen in tears. She had been "getting up on my bed" (read taking a run and a jump---she's ten), and now had a four inch horizontal tear across the chest of her warmest winter dress. No fixin' that one. It was a little dissappointing, because she has plenty of room left and of course it takes several hours to make a new one. Then I remembered this quilt,...hey,...time to go check out the thrift stores for a couple of courdoroy shirts!
