Default Log Cabin and Treasure Box Quilt

The 1st quilt is a log cabin hand sewed by my cousins grandmother( which way over 100 yrs old) she asked if I would sew together and finish off. Had to fix a few blocks but I sewed them together in strips and sewed all strips together and tied instead of hand quilt.

The 2nd pic is lap quilt I made for by aunt's 94th b-day. It is a Treasure Box pattern and in Swedish colors. It is hand quilted and label is using the freezer paper method. Got it in the mail, and she Called to thank me and also send a Thank You Card. She put it on her chair but takes it off when company comes, so as not to soil it. I just laughed.

strange to think that 100 years old is in the 1900s. I think the "swedish" lap quilt is perfect to sit and snuggle in. Thanks

Over a hundred and still quilting. I have a 95 yo friend that still pieces hand and machine as well as hand quilts them. She's trying to learn to machine quilt. . Her stitches are much better than mine. She's a better quilter than most of the quilters I know. She does it all. She's truly amazing. I believe she is going to be a centurion also.

Both of these quilts are work of art. Both of you need to take a bow as I'm too old to kneel!!
