Default How can I easy quilt this??

This is another one of my grandmother's tops and I would like to quilt it for my brother for Christmas, but need an easy way to quilt it on my domestic machine. I was thinking about just outlining the fans. Will I need to do something in the white spaces? Any suggestions would be most helpful. (Sorry the photo is sideways.

If the seams are good and if you get a good batting that will not shift or lump, just quilting around the fans will be fine. Great quilt, by the way! Look on the batting wrapper and see how far apart they recommend quilting. Some will say it's okay to quilt -------inches apart.

Beautiful quilt top! You can just outline stitch all the fans and go back in after it is stabilized and add more quilting if the quilt batt calls for closer quilting.

Lovely quilt. Great job. I can see echo quilting two rows on each side of the white between the fans after your outlining within the edges of the fans about a 1/4 inch. Anyway you want to quilt would be fine.

Gorgeous quilt. If you could do a large stipple all over it sure would look great. If not, however you do it will be great. I like to do no less than every 3-4". I guess you can tell, I love the large stipples, mostly what I do.

If you can quilt simple feathers then the white area is perfect for that design. If you are looking for really, really simple a gentle meandering will be lovely as well. Beautiful quilt top!
