As we were cleaning out the attic last weekned, I found these two quilts in a bag. Apparently they were made by my late MIL and ended up in the attic when my husband closed up her apartment in CA. They were smelly and stained so I threw them in the wash with some ammonia and they came out OK. The Sunbonnet Sue is done in muslin with the blocks set on point. Both were handquilted. Thought I would share my find.

I really like the sun bonnet sue quilt. both are very cool. I'd be happy if I found something that neat in my attic. Hope you enjoy them both. Nice Find.
