Smile Spanish tiles quilt as Tablecloth Blue, yellow, green

I have a blue, yellow and green kitchen with lemons and yellow roses as themes and I needed a tablecloth to go on my table to cover up some pretty disgusting water rings.
I decided on the spanish tiles pattern from living large 2 book because it showcased large scale prints so well. I used the line summer breeze by moda and a lemons print from Farmer john.
I have to say that I would NOT recommend this pattern to a beginner quilter. Those X and V blocks were a PAIN! If I ever make this pattern again I will just applique the X and V blocks it will be soooo much easier than piecing them.

I put some plastic sheeting over the quilt so I didn't have to worry about staining. It just wipes clean.

Happy quilting,
Jeanne

Very nice -- great choice of colors and a great job. I like your idea of putting plastic on top -- trying to keep the quilt clean has prevented me from making a table cloth. Great idea.

Oh wow, I love it, I have plans of making that quilt, I have had my book for a couple years now and still waiting to find perfect fabric, I am making a quilt out of the Summer Breeze charm pack. I love everything about your quilt.
