I never thought about it being useful past the baby stage. That would make it preferable to a traditional "baby" quilt. Now I can tell the mother that I planned it that way! LOL

Oh my, the middle is a "Friendship Star"? That's perfect for telling the mother it was an intentional design because of my friendship with her!!! LOL! Great spin!

Thanks everyone for changing my perspective. I can proudly give this away knowing that it is a unique, one-of-a-kind gift that should be useful past the infant stage.

Well, they are both beautiful, and you did a good job on them. Crib quilt, lap quilt, either way, they are great quilts.
Moms now don't seem to care about the baby pastels, anyhow. Thanks for sharing them.

You sure should give the crib quilt away, they will love it. You did a terrific job on both quilts. I love the colors you chose. Great work.
