some of you know how i like to use this stitch. it is so quick and old fashioned looking. hope you like it.

i love the chicken scratch stitch. can you explain how to do the back part of the stitch - i can't see the picture well enough to see how you keep it neat. i'm assuming the thread between stitches is in the middle of the sandwich but don't see how the back part is made.

How very cute!! My grandma used to call that "chicken scratch" and she used it a lot on her "utility" quilts...
