If you saw my apalling sewing room pictures, you MAY have noticed a quilt in progress. I'm almost finished machine quilting it with Anita Gooddesign feather quilting designs from her 'Coordinating Embroidery Designs For the Home.' Here are some pictures. I'm making it as a 20th anniversary gift to DD & DSIL. Last summer after I was dx w/breast cancer, but before I began chemo, DD brought 3 grocery bags of clothes they no longer wear (DD, DSIL & 16 yr old DGD) and suggested 'Make quilts Mom.' She knew it would help me to de-stress, and it worked. I finished 2 by THanksgiving, but saved this one for this year.

Thanks for your nice comments - I'm doing well - past 1 year as a survivor, and my oncologist has put me on a 4-month-check-up instead of 3 months, so he's pleased, too.

The sashing fabric was in my stash - bought in India before DD's wedding, though I didn't know at the time it would be for her LOL I bought the silk for her wedding dress, my dress & DSIL's mother's dress there, too - that WAS planned. Beautiful &,as I recall, $10-15 per meter. Now, of course, I wish I'd brought back a LOT more. Sigh.

It's lovely, Joanne. Beautiful quilting motifs as well. Are they done on your regular sewing machine?
